Epic Street League Women Skateboarding

On October 2, 2016, Street League Skateboarding (SLS) Nike SB Super Crown World Championship will, for the second year in a row, include a women’s division bringing together the world’s best female street skateboarders to compete for the title of World Champion.

The eight selected skateboarders will not only compete in front of an anticipated sold-out crowd at the Galen Center at USC in Los Angeles for the ultimate title. They will be competing for the year’s highest first-place prize in women’s street skateboarding – a $30,000 purse and a Championship G-Shock Watch.

Curated in conjunction with the Women’s Skateboarding Alliance (WSA), the Women’s Championship line-up is highly competitive. Since the 2015 inaugural Women’s contest in SLS, the pool of elite female skaters has grown rapidly.

This year’s skaters competing for the title of SLS Nike SB Super Crown World Champion are:
Lacey Baker
Pamela Rosa
Mariah Duran
Alexis Sablone
Vanessa Torres
Alana Smith
Monica Torres
and reigning Super Crown World Champion, Leticia Bufoni

*This event will also be live webcast around the world on October 2, 2016, starting at starting at 8:20pm ET and there will be a dedicated one hour special telecast on FS1 and FOX Sports GO on October 9th at 7:30 PM ET in the USA. Tracey Paleo is the publisher and personality of Gia On The Move. She is a Board Member/Awards Chair of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle (LADCC). A Theater Critic, she also occasionally contributes to Broadway World Los Angeles. As a lifelong supporter of and performer within the arts, Tracey began her professional career as an actress and dancer appearing on television, radio, stage and in movie at the age of eight. Her writing career began at age twelve when she was asked to review the entire collection of the Hardy Boys Nancy Drew Mysteries as a young reviewer for the Boston Phoenix. As a performer she is most recognized for her lead role in Martin Scorsese’s, “The Departed”, as Darlene and her appearances on Law & Order Criminal Intent. She also appeared as a lead dancer in the 80s hit dance show, “Dance Jam 88”. Tracey has written for a variety of media outlets and blogs including Discover Hollywood, The Tolucan Times, and Food Truck News. She is the former Editor of FootLights Publishing.
