Last night’s opening of Beyond Sight at the Stella Adler Acting Studio was a weepy affair, as far as the audience was concerned. But writer/director Jeremy Aldridge has every reason to celebrate. Now fresh of the weekly award winning AF, Aldridge has created a new musical around an assorted cast starring blind actor Robert Smith and former U.S. Marine Ginger Lawrence.
Still raw but with a lot off promise, Beyond Sight is a woven story taken from authentic military vets’ experience. It is sure to be a veritable catharsis for mass audiences. Gia On The Move was in attendance. Review forthcoming. Stop in and show this production some love. Presented by CRE Outreach, empowering veterans and the blind in the community through the performing arts.

I am so glad that you are letting folks know about companies that produce new plays. So many theaters rehash the oldies but goodies and forget that new works are timely, exciting and support living playwrights.
