Los Angeles photographer Ryan Schude and San Francisco creatives Laura Miner and Dylan Hosey in collaboration with The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) are excited to announce Inside/Outside SFMOMA, a one-day photoshoot and interactive experience that will highlight museum staff who volunteered to share their artistic and creative practices. The photoshoot will be held today, August 29, 2019, from 4 to 8 pm as a collaborative and experiential event and will result in a cinematic image characteristic of photographer Ryan Schude’s Tableaux Vivant series.

The photoshoot will be open to museum visitors (entry is included with a general admission ticket) and a few select visitors will be invited to participate.

Inside/Outside SFMOMA will illuminate what might go unseen to the public: that many members of the SFMOMA staff bring their distinct creative talent, passion, spirit, and energy to the museum every day. The project celebrates this daily contribution as an integral aspect of how creative institutions can thrive. The participants will be sharing activities such as costume making, crochet, large scale paintings, DJ sets, digital art, ceramics, and so much more.

Schude and Miner have been collaborating for over a decade and share a passion for creating events and experiences that allow people to show up as their authentic selves and display a unique spectrum of personal identity. The team is excited to celebrate the work that the museum staff does both inside and outside of the SFMOMA and to explore the inside/outside of the museum staff’s personal experience.
