Small Green Door Theatre’s ‘Lady Under Light’ To Benefit Emergency Women’s Shelters in Los Angeles

On Saturday, February 9th and Sunday, February 19th, for one weekend only, Small Green Door (Instagram: @smallgreendoor) will present Lady Under Light , an original, fully-immersive, theatrical experience written and directed by accomplished playwright, Dominique Carrieri.

In this production, the audience is positioned as a quintessential nosey neighbor in the play’s small-town setting. The material challenges viewers to engage with the uninhibited, overwhelming sensations of deep-seated trauma, ruptured power, and the amalgamated friendships of the town’s residents. The subject matter explores the themes of power, privilege, trauma, and relationships through various artistic mediums incorporated into its run.

This multimedia theatre piece will also incorporate 3D animations, projection lightmapping, and live streaming.

This production is written, directed, and produced entirely by women, and to honor other women less fortunate, all of the proceeds made from the performances will be donated to The Alexandria House, a Los Angeles-based non-profit that provides emergency shelter to women and children safe, supportive, and non-discriminatory housing to help them achieve economic stability and permanent housing through various support programs as they transition.

Lady Under Light will run for one weekend only, with two performances each day.

Concessions and refreshments will be served before and after showtime and during intermission.
