New Immersive Art Experience Comes to the Santa Monica Promenade

Early this fall the Santa Monica Promenade will welcome a cool new immersive art exhibit; The Decades Experience .

Visitors will be transported through six decades of American pop-culture, 1950 – 2000. The pop-up will delight guests young and old with creative thematic backdrops filled with color, texture and interactive engagement. The experience opens in October for a limited 3-month exhibit and will run six days a week from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

The Decades Experience

Among the many Instagrammable photo opportunities, guests will experience a 70’s silent disco complete with a brightly lit disco floor to enjoy their own private dance party or enjoy swinging on the numerous disco ball swings while hanging out in the Discotheque.

What’s an immersive pop-up experience without the requisite ball pit?

The Decades Experience ups the game with a nod to the hip-hop culture of the 90s by taking a que from Sean Combs aka Puff Daddy with a money pool filled with over 100,000 replica $100 dollar bills, delivering yet another Instagram worthy photo backdrop. Because the 90s were really “All About the Benjamins, BABY”

The experiential journey comes to an end in the binary world of the 2000’s with secret passages, an infinity room, and a tribute to the world wide web.

Pop-culture loving guests can begin reserving their spots for The Decades Experience in early August with pre-sale tickets available for purchase online mid-August.

Guests can choose their arrival time and will have approximately 60 minutes to explore and play in the vivid spaces full of photo opportunities.

A limited number of tickets will be available each day.

The exhibit is part of a larger movement encompassing interactive and experiential art and is produced by West 54 Productions.
