Did you know?

The ultimate soul food originated in our own backyard—where Scottish chicken-frying methods were combined with West African seasoning traditions to create what is now one of the world’s favorite guilty pleasures?

To celebrate National Fried Chicken Day on July 6, the data scientists at NationalToday.com asked 1000 Americans how they felt about fried chicken and came up with some ‘slightly greasy’ results:

16% OF AMERICANS WOULD MARRY FRIED CHICKEN
95% of Americans say they like fried chicken, with 16% going as far to say they would marry it. Only 2% of Americans claim they hate fried chicken.

6% OF AMERICANS EAT FRIED CHICKEN EVERY DAY
7% of people surveyed said they eat it every other day and 15% eat it 2-4 times a week.
