Dirty Revival Hits the Hotel Cafe Los Angeles

Portland’s soul-funk, basement, band, Dirty Revival is on its way to Los Angeles this Monday, February 8, 2016, as part of their US Winter 2016 tour bringing back the gritty, funky, hard-hitting sounds of iconic 70s funk bands, such as P-Funk, Sly & the Family Stone and Earth Wind and Fire.

Through mid-March 2016, the seven-member band hits the road, in support of their debut self-titled album, available now on CD, vinyl and digitally. The band comes to audiences in almost 30 cities in Washington, California, Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Utah and their home state of Oregon.

The album’s 11 songs vacillate between musical statements on the ills of society –  drug addiction and racial tensions, and down-and-dirty dance songs meant to get the party going.

Fronted by Portland native, Sarah Clarke, on lead vocals, the band also consists of Evan ‘evv’n’flo’ Simko (MC/guitar), Terry Drysdale (drums), Karl Ludwigsen (keyboards), Jon Shaw (bass), Chris Harden (tenor sax) and Jon Clay (trumpet).Dirty Revival music

Since 2013, the group has toured regionally, sharing stages with musical heavy-hitters such as George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic, Sir Mix-A-Lot, Slick Rick, Nappy Roots and Gift of Gab. This winter, Dirty Revival embarks on their largest US tour to date, beginning in Olympia, WA and proceeding to almost 30 cities, playing popular venues, including Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles, the Boom Boom Room in San Francisco and The Crazy Horse Inn in Nevada City.
