The Girls Are Here: Beautiful Small Machines

The new single from NYC electro-twang duo, Beautiful Small Machines, The Girls Are Here is the perfect jam for the summer weather!

The Girls Are Here is the second track released from the upcoming full-length album, The DJ Stayed Home, out July 8, 2014, the band’s Arcade-Fire-Meets-Blondie sound and moves away from the more pop-infused vibe of the duo’sBeautiful Small Machines debut. Complete with a folky cover of Paper Planes (video below) originally by M.I.A., this record’s twists and turns are anything but ordinary.

Beautiful Small Machines (@themachineswas formed in 2009 by Bree Sharp and Don DiLego in New York City. Sharp is the lead vocalist and lyricist and DiLego is the producer. He also plays almost all of the instruments on record, including electric guitar, bass, piano, drums, harmonica, cowbell and other nifty things he finds lying around. They both play acoustic guitar and share songwriting.
