2014’s Band To Watch!
Rolling Stone, NYLON, FILTER, Elle, and Paste have all been singing the praises of Los Angeles-based band Caught A Ghost. Plus, their tracks (included on Human Nature) have been prominently featured in such high profile TV shows as ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy and Mistresses, USA Network’s Suits, The CW’s The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, Fox’s Rake, and HBO’s Boardwalk Empire while also receiving airplay at the ever-influential KCRW (where Sleeping At Night was named a “Top Tune”).
The release of Human Nature the much-anticipated debut album from Caught A Ghost is finally here with a new single video release the song, Time Go. The album arrives everywhere on April 1st.
Helmed by singer/songwriter/producer Jesse Nolan, Caught A Ghost has already made waves with their extraordinary brand of electronic soul. Edgy songs like No Sugar In My Coffee and Connected meld completely opposite elements of rock, hip-hop, dubstep, and classic R&B to create a unique pop sound that is both inspired and progressive, completely contemporary and yet timeless.

Nolan is joined in Caught A Ghost by drummer Stephen Edelstein and singer/percussionist Tessa Thompson, known to audiences everywhere for her acclaimed acting roles in such films and TV series as Veronica Mars, Cold Case, Copper, Tyler Perry’s For Colored Girls, and the upcoming Dear White People, which is among the films selected for the US Dramatic Competition at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.
THE BAND WILL BE PERFORMING AT SXSW 2014.
Tour dates will be announced shortly.
We have to admit there is a slightly ‘haunting quality’ about this group and listening to the tracks can take you quickly into another emotional dimension. Gia On The Move found several videos for them which are well worth listening to and experiencing visually. Of the many songs I’ve been listening to their remake of Sam Cooke’s original song, You Send Me is without a doubt one of the more sultry pieces and a personal favorite. Check it out below:
