After several spectacular days of drawing and coloring (not to mention bending, kneeling and crawling) on the pavements of the ESPN Zone at LA Live across the street from the magnificent Los Angeles Staples Center , internationally renowned chalk artist Tracy Lee Stum has captured the essence of the movie, Life of Pi.

Inspired by the  film’s colorful and fantastical 3D elements Ms. Stum celebrated with a spectacular 3D street tribute in honor of the March 12 home entertainment release.

The drawing will only be on display until this Saturday, March 16th.  You can Google the exact location at 777 Chick Hearn Ct., Los Angeles, CA 90015.

However, for those of you who can’t make it, (neither could Gia On The Move this week to see the live sketch – bummer) or are too far away, we’ve just received the link to a brilliant time lapse demo.

The spirit of public street art is alive and well.  We love it.  It makes living in the big city worth while.  Best of all, it’s free.  Get inspired.  Get downtown.

“Go out and get some culture!!!”
