With this weekend’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards approaching, SodaHead.com, the web’s largest opinion-based community, polled its users to find their choices for the most popular picks in family entertainment over the past three decades.

The winner for Best Family Movie of the 80s was Back to the Future. Home Alone was voted best of the 90s and Harry Potter took the crown for best of the 2000s.  Daniel Radcliffe won the vote for best child actor of the past three decades and Johnny Depp was named best actor to appear in family films today, beating Jim Carrey, Jack Black and Adam Sandler.

In the music categories, Selena Gomez was named most popular singer under the age of 21, topping her boyfriend Justin Bieber. For the title of “Best Boy Band of All Time,” the Backstreet Boys won the vote with 23 percent of the vote, ahead of ‘N Sync (12 percent), Boyz II Men (10 percent) and New Kids on the Block (7 percent).
