Thank Goodness, “He’s a professional!”
Hitman Saul doesn’t like zip ties. He’s not a fan of keeping his mouth shut either. He always prefers to keep a victim’s head covered with a bag – just because and he’s a little insecure about the BOSS not friending him on Facebook. But when it comes to tying up his hostages he does have a “thing” for rope.
Two seriously shoddy thugs kidnap a white collar convict on his way “out” of prison after serving a 20-year sentence for embezzling money. The BOSS wants the bankroll and he’s gonna get it at any cost. But with these two unlikely cronies who can’t get along on technique, style or strategy, the price for him is pretty expensive.
Writer Benjamin Schwartz offers a highly improbable setup for a richly insane, rapid-fire comedy in Zip Ties. Everything is wrong from “jump” and goes from bad to worse almost instantaneously with every ridiculous decision. As light in humor as it is lightening fast in dialog, this show is an uncomplicated audience pleaser from start to finish. One hour that you won’t mind passing in a seat, it’s a definite dance card consideration for this year’s Fringe.
